Jenna did not grow up in a horsey family, but it was love from the first plastic palomino her grandpa gave to her. Jenna started training horses 12 years ago as a means to pay for her own. She has spent years working under other great trainers and now has her own clientele. In 2008 Jenna trained her first mustang and was a finalist at the Western States Mustang Challenge. Since then she has trained Mustangs for Lifesavers Wild Horse Rescue and last year got the opportunity to teach her first clinic gentling mustangs at a BLM adoption. Last October Jenna founded Heart to Heart Equine Rescue with the help of Cheryl Zanini. Jenna is currently training horses and riders at Proud Horse Stables in Redlands, CA.

She is currently preparing "Henry Ford" for the Supreme Extreme Mustang Makeover in Fort Worth, Texas August 13-14 2010.

Extreme Mustang Makeover

It was a whirlwind of a week!!! We left California Monday and got into Fort Worth on Wednesday. The boys were very well behaved and we were very well exhausted. Tiny was amazing and exceeded my expectations. Unfortunately I forgot to pick up Tiny's feet on my in-hand course and earned myself a zero score out of nine for that element. All together I finished 11th out of 50 horses by only a couple of points. Had I not missed that piece I would have been around 5th or 6th place and in the finals. That was a ton of work to mess it up over something so silly, but some lessons come harder than others and I will not make that mistake ever again. I was thrilled with the horse I finished with and he got a great home with a Texas family. Thank you to all those who supported me and my Tiny Solider!

Flaming Hot Horse

Tonight I was thinking back to the day Tiny came into my life and the journey we have taken together. He has grown into a confident and true riding horse and the belly is shrinking a little more with every mile (: I have grown to love his heart the most and my courage to say goodbye is shrinking by the day. He is soft and willing with every step he takes and although at times he gets scared he always replies to my crazy requests with an honest try. I am keeping our freestyle plans a secret, but I do confess that a fire extinguisher would be a very good idea!!!

PS.... Evidence that Tiny has reached celebrity status with his very own slide stop
